Recent commissions include: Marriage a La Mode (music by Charles Miller), The London School of Musical Theatre (London, 2015), the opening song for Simon Green’s Cabaret ‘So, this then is life’ which premiered at the Crazy Coqs opening the London Festival of Cabaret 2014 and transferred to 59E59 Theatre, New York for the ‘Brits Off Broadway’ Festival (music by David Shrubsole).
Victoria is currently Executive Director of Mercury Musical Development (MMD) and Visiting Lecturer at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama where she has designed and leads a Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Programme. She also helped establish and facilitate the National Theatre’s Musical Theatre Writing Group.

In 2015, Ella wrote music & lyrics for King Athelstan as part of the Rose Theatre Kingston’s Festival of Stories, and was a finalist in the RCS’s A Song for Shakespeare competition.
In 2016, Ella was selected for China Plate, House Theatre and The Musical Theatre Network’s inaugural Musical Theatre Darkroom, and from this partnered with Look Left, Look Right’s Katie Lyons to write an immersive musical, Blackout, which is being developed by China Plate Theatre and is supported by the Arts Council England.
Most recently, she’s been commissioned to write songs for Contender Charlie’s UK tour of Romeo and Juliet, and songs for Oscar Wilde’s Salome, which played at the Walt Disney Modular Theatre, Los Angeles.
On-going projects include; Nethergate, a modern re-imagining of Peter Pan, which was presented at BEAM 2016 and workshopped with Scottish Youth Theatre; Ophelia, a modern adaptation of Hamlet; and Billy Binns, a new actor-musician musical.
Ella is an associate artist of Harlow Playhouse and recent recipient of the Michael Grandage Futures Bursary.
