Michael Fittipaldi (Bass) is excited to be a part of FLMTF’s 2019 season! Favorite past productions include: Mamma Mia!, Buddy the Buddy Holly Story, The Full Monty, Altar Boyz, Legally Blonde, Light in the Piazza, and Million Dollar Quartet. Michael is a member of the Albany Symphony and has performed with the RPO and Symphoria. Michael enjoys free-heel skiing and practicing Parkour with his family at Rochester Parkour. Many thanks to the amazing staff and crew for always making FLMTF a great place to be!
Heidi Hoffman (Cello) debuted as a soloist with the Seattle Symphony at age 17. She received her BM and Performers Certificate at the Eastman School of Music, and an MM and DMA from Stony Brook University. As a fellowship student at the Tanglewood Music Center, Heidi performed under conductors Leonard Bernstein and Seiji Ozawa. She’s performed in North & South America, Europe & Japan with such diverse groups as the American Symphony, Jupiter Symphony, Tchaikovsky Chamber Orchestra, Northwest Sinfonietta, Pacific Northwest Ballet, the new music group Ensemble X, as well as with the rock bands Paige and Plant, and Heart. Ms. Hoffman has been a member of the Syracuse Symphony, the Grant Park Symphony Orchestra, and has served on the faculties of Ithaca College, Wells College, & Cornell University.

Tiffany Howard (Costume Designer) is elated to be in her 11th season at FLMTF/MGR! After receiving her MFA from Texas Tech University and then teaching college for 5 years in Missouri, Tiffany found a happy home here in both the summer and Youth Theatre shops where we take on the task of teaching a whole new generation about the power of theatre. Tiffany recently worked on the NYC workshop of From Here to Eternity this January. You may have seen some of her work in recent seasons, including Grease, Beehive!, the SALT Award-nominated Holiday Inn, Mamma Mia!, Guys and Dolls, Parade, Best Little Whorehouse…, and Crazy for You. Favorite designs from past seasons include: Always… Patsy Cline;Oklahoma!; West Side Story; Lost Highway, The Hank Williams Story; The Marvelous Wonderettes; and Cabaret. Thank you to the amazing Costume Shop for all the work and laughter—and for making such good looking shows in such a short amount of time! And a huge shout out to the Wardrobe Team (lead by Ashley Wilson) who makes miracles happen every day! Couldn’t do this without all of you! As always, a huge thank you and all my love to Geoff Howard – the best darn husband a girl could ask for.
Chelsea Janke (Assistant Stage Manager) is excited to be back for her third summer at Merry-Go-Round Playhouse. Previous Merry-Go-Round credits include Murder for Two, Parade, and Ghost:The Musical. Other Professional credits include Pickwick’s Haunted Christmas (ASM), Long Wharf Theatre (Production Assistant), New Harmony Theatre (ASM); and Sacramento Theatre Company (SM Intern). She wants to thank her family and her mentors for their support, the entire Grand Hotel team for an incredible process; and Brett Smock and Mike for bringing her back!
John Patrick Jeanneret (Reed 1) is an accomplished musician, composer, and educator. He is a graduate of the Crane School of Music and the University of North Texas. In addition to his long career as a professional musician working in various genres, John has also performed with over 50 regional and national musical theatre productions. His compositions and arrangements have been played by various high schools, university groups, and professional ensembles. Daniel Mullarney (Assistant Musical Director) is a Cayuga County music director and music educator. He has worked as an Assistant Music Director for Guys & Dolls and Mamma Mia! at Merry-Go-Round and is assisting on Grease and Grand Hotel this year. He is also the music director for their Musical Theatre Intensive Camp. Dan has taught acting workshop classes and assistant music directed at The Hangar Theatre and Ithaca College. Dan has a Masters in Conducting Musical Theatre/Opera from Ithaca College and is always beyond grateful to be a part of the Merry-Go-Round family.

Rob Robson (Trumpet) has played with Wayne Cochran and the CC Riders on tour; Latin, Jazz, and Blues groups in New Orleans; and with local bands Out of the Blue, Roosevelt Dean, Salt City Jazz Collective, and CNY Jazz Orchestra. Rob also performed with artists Natalie Cole, The Temptations, Aretha Franklin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Frankie Valli, and Frank Sinatra Jr. Musical Theatre work includes A Chorus Line, Spamalot, Chicago, Sweet Charity, Peter Pan, Crazy for You, Motown the Musical, and FLMTF’s productions of Holiday Inn and Beehive.
Julia Ross (Percussion) is thrilled to return to FLMTF after playing for last season’s production of Anne of Green Gables: A New Folk Rock Musical. Recent theater credits include Once Upon a Mattress at Redhouse, West Side Story at Hamilton College, and Crazy for You at Syracuse University. A Syracuse native, Julia holds degrees in music from Ithaca College (BM) and Indiana University (MM), and completed additional studies at Cleveland State University. She is an alumna of the Aspen Music Festival and Pierre Monteux School. She has performed with Symphoria, the Buffalo Philharmonic, orchestras throughout Northeast Ohio, and on tour with the Hollywood Concert Orchestra. Love and thanks to Mom, Dad, and Jackson the corgi.

Brett Smock** (Director/Choreographer) was born in Kailua, Hawaii, the son of a US diplomat. Brett spent his first 17 years living overseas before landing in Washington DC, where he received his BA in Theatre from The American University. He began his tenure here as a dancer in the 1992 season, and by 1996, had become a resident director/choreographer. In 2012, Brett became the General Manager/Associate Artistic Director and in 2014, assumed the title of Producing Artistic Director. Brett’s Director/Choreographer credits span over 100 national and international productions. FLMTF highlights: Mamma Mia! (2018), Parade (2017), The Light In The Piazza (2015/Regional Premiere), the new Saturday Night Fever (2015 World Premiere), Treasure Island (FLMTF 2016/Arkansas Rep 2013 Regional Premieres), Cabaret (2012). Additional highlights include The Mudge Boy (with Donna McKechnie and Sally Mayes); first European tour of Guys and Dolls; and with Stephen Sondheim’s blessing, a new version of Putting It Together at the Emelin Theatre. Producer/director/choreographer for the North American premiere of Tim Rice’s From Here To Eternity (Pre-Broadway/FLMTF/2016 and Ogunquit Playhouse/2017). Adjunct faculty member at many colleges and universities. James R. Spadafore (Reed 2) is excited to be playing in the pit with such outstanding conductors and musicians. As a freelance musician, James has performed with the likes of Marvin Hamlish, Natalie Cole, Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra Jr., Don Rickles, Vareen, Bob Hope, Petula Clark, The Fifth Dimension, The Spinners, Frankie Valle and the Four Seasons, The Four Tops, and The Temptations. As a pit musician, Mr. Spadafore has performed with the national touring companies of City of Angels, The King And I, Chorus Line, Peter Pan, Big, Chicago, The Producers, Hairspray, Spamalot, Wicked, The Book of Mormon, Phantom of the Opera, Beautiful: The Carol King Story, and Motown the Musical. Mr. Spadafore is currently a member of the “Stan Colella Orchestra” and has performed at Syracuse Stage, Syracuse Drama, Del Lago Resort and the New York State Fair Stages. James resides in Liverpool, N.Y. and wishes to thank his parents Pat and Fran, his three children Joel, Crista, and Sam and his significant other Betsey who inspires him each and every day.
